A Painting a Day #3 Lac la Nonne Sunset 4"X4" acrylics on linen
I grew up at the lake as I spent every summer there in a lake-front cabin. The best part of the day was waking up to the morning sunrise as I peered out the window. The best part of the end of the day was the sun setting over the lake with the promise of tomorrow.
Today is all about the transluscent quality of the petals.
I was at Micheals the other day and found a bunch of 4"x4" linen canvasses. They are the perfect size for these miniature paintings. And they were on sale. Bonus! I bought some daisies from Safeway and I painted this today. Painting on denim is interesting. I love texture!
