Roatan Rhthym – 4"X4" acrylics on masonite. Imagine my delight when I happened upon this scene in Roatan. Working from a picture I took at the time - this is the second time I paint these Garafunas on the beach. The first time is a much larger 12" square canvas and I used some Golden moulding paste in the bkg. Next time I plan to try some white glue which I find works best if I blow it dry with a hair dryer before it relaxes too much. These figures are a colorful joy to pain

Mangrove – 4"X4" acrylic on masonite. My hubby and I were lucky enough to visit this mangrove in Roatan several years ago. The sun was setting and it was idyllic. I always intended to paint it one day and so today was the day. This miniature study could lead to a larger painting down the road. Roatan is an island off the coast of Honduras. It's pristine beaches and natural occuriing coral reef make the water as still as if you were swimming in a bathtub! Perfect for children
